YOSHIMURA SERT MOTUL FOCUS ON 24 HEURES MOTOS

The 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC) is finally set to kick off this weekend with the season opener, the “24 Heures Motos” at the legendary Bugatti Circuit in France.
After clinching the EWC championship title last season, Yoshimura SERT Motul is ready to take on a new challenge with their sights set on back-to-back victories.
The rider lineup remains unchanged from last year, Gregg Black (UK/France), Etienne Masson (France), and Dan Linfoot (UK)—all of whom bring valuable experience, including past wins at Le Mans. Japanese rider Cocoro Atsumi will continue to support the team as a reserve rider this season.
The 24 Heures Motos, the first of four rounds this season, is a race every team aspires to win—an iconic battle that sets the tone for the championship.
Only a few days left until the opening of the season, Yoshimura SERT Motul, entering the race as the defending champion, has been working tirelessly through private and official testing to ensure they are fully prepared.
With the home round fast approaching, team morale is soaring as they aim for a strong start to the season in the April 19th showdown.

Yohei Kato, Team Director

The time has finally come for the start of the 2025 race.
As the defending champion, we will be racing at the Le Mans 24 Hours, but Dan crashed and injured himself in the pre-tests, so I will have to wait until he has driven to decide whether he will be able to race.
However, we at Yoshimura SERT Motul are competing with the combined strength of our four riders and the team, so we are not worried.
The weather conditions may be unstable during the race week, but we will work together with the team riders to win this opening round and get the season off to a good start.
Your support will give us strength, so please give us your full support.

Damien Saulnier, Team Manager

We’re hoping that the weather during race week will be as good as it was during testing. The season got off to a good start with the first tests in Spain, which went very well. It’s great to be back with the team after the long winter break.
Last week, we took part in pre-Mans testing. We made good progress and finalized the bike’s settings. The riders were able to really appreciate the work carried out by the Yoshimura technical staff over the winter. We tested some new settings, which proved very positive for the riders.
Gregg and Etienne were able to continue developing the bike. After Dan’s crash in Spain and his injury, Cocoro prepared intensively during the pre-Mans tests. Dan is concentrating on his rehabilitation and will be with us from Monday, April 14.
Finally, we’re looking forward to next week, when we’ll be reunited with our team, winners of the last 24 Heures Motos and 2024 Endurance World Champions!

Gregg Black – rider

Very happy with the test we made in Le Mans, great to be back with the team after our tests in Spain at Valencia. Especially to come back to Le Mans and try all our new settings at a track we know very well.
The team did a great job and a lot of positive work during the two days. We also had great weather, which helped us to do many consistent laps.
I feel great on the bike, and I’m looking forward to the race week.
Of course, we have some pressure because we won the last 24H Le Mans edition, but we all feel good in the team. Unfortunately, Dan wasn’t able to participate in the test, so he was missing, but hopefully he should be back for the race week.
It will also be nice to see all the fans during the event!

Etienne Masson – rider

The winter was very long until the first test in Valencia.
I worked a lot on my physical preparation to be ready and improved some details before the season.
We tried a lot of things during the Valencia tests, and the team did a fantastic job to keep the bike efficient.
For myself, I worked on my riding style and tried to be as consistent as possible with my lap times.
In Le Mans, the feeling was really good — I really enjoyed riding the bike. We tested some new Bridgestone tyres, tried some different settings, and did some long runs.
So I am really excited to start the season with the number one on the bike.

Dan Linfoot – rider

Finally, the first race is here. It’s been a long wait, and I would be lying if I said the last couple of weeks have been easy for me.
I’m looking forward to getting back with the team for Le Mans. I missed out on the pre-Mans test due to my shoulder injury, which is now improving quite well.
The team had a great test at Le Mans, all working well together and with a good rhythm for the race.
Thanks to all the team and my teammates for preparing well.

Cocoro Atsumi – rider

Over the past few weeks, we’ve had the Valencia test and the pre-Le Mans test, during which we tried many things. The team’s motivation is high as we head into the season. The bike has become easier to ride, and I feel it’s now more stable and consistently fast in race conditions.
I had many opportunities to ride during these two tests, which helped me deepen my understanding of the machine and improve my riding.
According to the original plan, I was scheduled to compete in the Le Mans race week with Junior Team LMS Suzuki. However, due to Dan’s injury, there is a possibility that I will take on the role of reserve rider for Yoshimura SERT Motul.
Either way, I’ll be competing in the 24-hour race, so I’m fully focused on the season opener and will give it my all to achieve a strong result.
Thank you very much for your continued support!
