[Yoshimura’s 38th Suzuka-8H] We are expecting another “Long Hot Summer of Suzuka-8 Hours”! Last year, we enjoyed company’s 60th anniversary and made a special team called “#12 Legend Team” for Suzuka-8H with legendary riders Kevin Schwantz, Satoshi Tsujimoto and Nobu Aoki. However #12 bike only lasted 6 laps due to heavy crash in the rain. For 2015, we will not have the revenge “Legend Team”, although many fans would like to see it happens again. Instead, we will have a new challenge for the victory and concentrate our power to 1 team with upcoming riders as follows; : Takuya Tsuda who won the recent Suzuka JSB1000 Race with new lap record in qualifying. : Alex Lowes from UK who is a WSB rider of Voltcom Crescent Suzuki and riding “Yoshimura Powered” GSX-R1000 in the championship. (placed 3rd at Buriram Round in Thailand) : Josh Waters who now contests in BSB and has been with Yoshimura Suzuka 8H members already 3 time. [The challenging sprit] Yoshimura Suzuki Shell ADVANCE Racing team participates in the 38th Suzuka 8hours Endurance Road Race with Takuya Tsuda, Alex Lowes and Josh Waters. We are aiming the 5th victory for the team and will fight with these brilliant riders. There were already announcements from other top teams and these rivals looks very tough and strong. It is still great to see the factory teams come back to this event with GP riders, and it reminds Suzuka 8H race in 80’s or 90’s! We, Yoshimura Suzuki Shell ADVANCE Racing team, have been developing the Suzuki GSX-R1000 with its potential using our know-how and we are going to fight against these factory teams. Racing at Suzuka 8H is most important event in our history and it keeps us having the Challenging Sprit. It’s never been easy to win the race, but we will do our best with the supports of lot of Yoshimura fans.

I am so excited to race Suzuka 8H with Yoshimura Suzuki Shell ADVANCE again this year. It is 3rd time to participate this event in the Yoshimura team and I am so glad to get the opportunity. In the last 2 years, we were in the winning position but both time we were not strong enough and finished at 2nd position. We do not need same position again this year and I am really aiming for the victory. Yoshimura is a legendary team and I will do my best to bring them the 5th victory in their history with my team mates and team crews.

I’m really looking forward to challenging myself at the iconic 8 hour race and working with the Yoshimura Suzuki team. They are a great support to us in the World Superbike Championship and I’m really excited to see how they do things. The Suzuka track is a favourite amongst many riders and it’s going to be a lot for me to learn but I’m really excited about the opportunity. It’s going to be an interesting challenge especially with the test and race each side of the Laguna Seca WSBK round in July but think I can go and do a good job. I’m looking forward to getting over to Japan, getting started and representing the Voltcom Crescent Suzuki and Yoshimura partnership for my first endurance race.

I’m very excited to be riding for Yoshimura Suzuki at this years Suzuka 8 hour. This is my fourth time riding for the team so I know them very well. My team mates are both great riders who I am looking forward to working with. The Suzuka 8 hour event is extremely hard, very hot and changing weather conditions. Last year we were close, we will try our hardest to get the best possible result in this years race.
