It was few more laps for Yoshimura's second victory. From this year, Crosby
was racing in the World GP but he made a special participation in Suzuka.
There was England GP going on at the same time but he chose to ride Yoshimura's
machine. He took care of night riding which Cooley did not prefer. Actually
there was no choice because Hansford and Lawson was only 40 seconds behind
them. Team Kawasaki(Lawson and Hansford) had a collision with Yoshimura's
substitution team rider Cole. Yoshimura also had some trouble with the brake
pad and took two minutes. They had absolutely no extra time. This was the
closest race ever in 8 hours endurance race history. From this race, Yoshimura
got the no.12 on their machine.
After battling for 8 hours, Crosby and Cooley brought POP to the honor platform.
